Diyar International Private School celebrated its fourth annual kg graduation. Al-Sheikh Hamad bin Salah bin Mohamed Al-Sharqi (Vice Chairman) was the honored guest along with Mr. Sulaiman Jumai (Director of Private Education Section in the Fujairah Educational Zone), Mr. Mohamed Ahmad Almoathen (Managing Director), Mr. Mohamed Ahmad Alnatafjy (Managing Director), Mr. Saleh Alhashimi (Chief Information Officer), Ms. Moza Ahmad Sulaiman (Human Resources).
The graduation included 104 students and their families. This was a memorable day for these graduates because it is considered the start of a new chapter in their educational careers. Um Abdullah (Principle of Diyar International Private School) said: “A chapter has been written and a new one has begun for these students. They moved from being children to responsible students. I wish the best for all the students". |
Ms. Maryam Jumai (Head of Student Affairs) added: “Our students moved now to a more responsible age. Becoming a primary student has a lot of responsibilities. Finally, I wish all the success to all of our students”. Ms. Aisha (KG Supervisor) said: “I hope students will continue what they started by reading. The key to success is reading”. Ms. Soa’d added: “Our KG angels, I send for you my congratulations. You worked hard throughout the year and your effort paid off. I wish you a happy and fruitful academic year when you become first grade students”.

April 22-26 was Diyar International Private School’s annual book fair. Each grade represented a country. We had a lot of fun, grade 1 was Africa, grade 2 represented Palestine, grade 3 was China, and Grade 4 and 5 was U.S.A. I really loved the grade 5 assembly. Grade 5 pretended to be famous people from the U.S.A. They pretended to be cowboys, Native Americans, businessmen, mad scientists, astronauts, and The Statue of Liberty. Their acting made it look so real.

The book fair we bought science books about the solar system and flying machines. We also bought miniseries books like Angry Birds and Captain Under Pants Adventures.

Grade One classes were lucky. They went on a thrilling trip to Fujairah’s New Century Mall. All the Grade One students enjoyed the trip.
Here is what they saw, heard, smelled, tasted and most importantly felt: “I saw a beach and a mountain when we were going to Fun City. We studied that in Science.” Malaz of Grade 1A was very observant and related her trip to her previous Science lessons. |
“I smelled and tasted a nice sandwich.” writes Shaikah of Grade 1A. That’s certainly true as the Grade One classes got to taste some delicious KFC. Grade 1B students: Ghala, Bashayer, Maryah and Mariam said, “We felt so excited and happy.”
|
But that’s not all, we even asked the teachers about their trip. “The trip was wonderful and I definitely want to go back to visit Fun City soon.” said Grade 1D’s Miss Laylaa. We would like to extend our thanks to the warm and friendly team of Fun City.

As a child in elementary school, I used to dream all year long about summer. Yes, summer meant nice, warm weather, but more importantly, it meant no school. The funny thing is that when summer vacation finally arrived, it was never as I had imagined it. Without school, it's easy to get tired or bored on our own so I've got a list of ideas to help you have a summer full of fun and excitement this year.
Sports Since there are so many different sports out there to choose between, this is something that will never tire or bore you. Set each day aside for one particular sport of your choosing, such as football, basketball or cricket. Then, grab some friends to join you under the warm summer sun. Plan to spend at least a few hours playing and don't forget to have fun and stay hydrated with lots of water. Exploring In the U.A.E. there are many opportunities to enjoy the beautiful terrain. One thing I like to do in my free time is go on a desert safari. I like the idea of having a picnic to enjoy after one or two hours of some fun desert exploring. What's so great about exploring? It's walking through nature and witnessing first hand the beauty of the world around you. It's experiencing something of bountiful pleasure that you won't find at home. |
Reading
I know you are all thinking “its summer why would I want to read for fun”? Picking up a good book and getting lost in it will most certainly pass the time. You don’t have to read a novel it could be a comic book, an exciting series, a book that was turned into a movie, and even a sports magazine. Summer is a great time to spend with your friends and family doing activities that you all enjoy. Don't let this summer pass you by and give my ideas some consideration because you won't always get the great opportunity to do so. |
